The Oakland Cup

Habibi × Oakland Roots

A piece of Oakland. A story to carry forward.

The Oakland Cup is a handmade ceramic vessel created in collaboration with Oakland Roots SC to honor the team’s final season at the Oakland Coliseum. Made with dirt gathered from the field and locally sourced Bay Area clay, it holds a small piece of the ground that brought generations together. Not simply inspired by a place. Made with it.

The Coliseum has held pride, ritual, heartbreak, and celebration - from the A’s and Raiders to the Roots. People came not only to watch a game, but to belong to something bigger than themselves. That spirit lives in the Oakland Cup’s hand-carved pattern, inspired by the Roots mosaic, where separate pieces come together to form a whole.

Woven within it is the outline of Palestine - a personal nod to heritage, land and the roots that connect us to each other.

Limited edition of 25 pieces will be made.

Each Oakland Cup is made and carved by hand, individually signed and numbered - a personal piece of a shared history.

Fill it with flowers, eat popcorn straight from it on game day (it’s food-safe!) or let it stand on its own as a piece of art.

Carry a piece of history home.
